Opening on Monday 6 January 2020, the new facility will give all GO Gateshead customers the chance to continue their fitness journey using some of the very latest innovations in gym equipment.
You're going to love our new Speedflex studio. Speedflex is a multi-functional, high intensity workout that operates with the aid of a hydraulic machine, featuring a unique 'free motion bar', which returns the force exerted by whoever's using it. This makes it ideal for all ages and abilities. Make your Speedflex session as hard or as leisurely as you want it to be. Often described as 'the world's best burn', if you're willing to work for it you can burn over 1000 calories in a single session; or take it at an easier pace, it's entirely up to you.
The state-of-the-art gym will feature the latest cardiovascular equipment from Pulse Fitness, including:

Other new additions include a functional training area. What is this we hear you ask? This space features a functional rig, tyre flip, basebag, slam balls, and a 3-in-1 plyo box, designed to improve all areas of fitness, including cardiovascular, strength, flexibility, coordination and agility.
