A single lane along the middle of the pool with a maximum capacity of 6, intended for those who swim regularly for fitness and who can maintain a pace of approximately 30 seconds per pool length. 

Those who are able should lower themselves directly into the lane from the shallow end of the pool instead of using the steps and crossing through other lanes.  If you do need to use the steps or a hoist to get in from the side of the pool, please be considerate of other people in the lane.  You will need to climb out if you need to take a break.

If you are swimming butterfly or backstroke please be mindful of other pool users and keep your arms within your lane. 

Overtaking of other swimmers should be avoided. If you do need to overtake please do so at the end of a lane. If there is spare capacity in a higher speed lane please move across.  Lifeguards will monitor the speed of the lanes and if the relative speed of some swimmers is too slow then they will be encouraged to move into a slower lane or allow other swimmers to overtake at the end of the lane.

Each session lasts for a 45 minutes.
