This session is suitable for people who are recreational swimmers who swim at a relaxed pace and may only be comfortable swimming short distances at a time.  If you prefer to stay within your depth, then you can do so in this session - simply travel clockwise around the shallow end of the lane being mindful of other swimmers around you.

This will be a double lane near the wall with a maximum capacity of 10 swimmers and walk-in steps available.  At the weekend during family swimming times this will be a single lane next to the side of the pool with a maximum capacity of 6 swimmers.

These lanes will always be against the side of the pool and if you prefer you may also stay within your depth in this session. 

If you need to stop then please do so at the lane end and move into the corner, facing towards the poolside.  If you require a longer break, please climb out and go to your allocated seat.

If you are swimming butterfly or backstroke please be mindful of other pool users and keep your arms within your lane. 

Overtaking of other swimmers should be avoided. If you do need to overtake please do so at the end of a lane. If there is spare capacity in a higher speed lane please move across.  Lifeguards will monitor the speed of the lanes and if the relative speed of some swimmers is too slow then they will be encouraged to move into a slower lane or allow other swimmers to overtake at the end of the lane.

Each session lasts for a 45 minutes.
