What does it involve?

If you are looking for a gentle exercise session or have problems with your mobility and have difficulty standing for periods of time then this session is for you.

The session offers a range of effective exercises with both seated and standing options with an aim to increase strength and improve cardio fitness with some gentle stretching too. Having fun just happens to be one of the benefits of this session too.

Is it for me?

Seated exercise offers an easier way to improve your movement and flexibility as part of a group. The GO Easy level makes it suitable for beginner and intermediate exercisers.

It takes place in a positive environment, overseen by our inspirational coaches, making it a great place to workout amongst friends.

What do I need?

  • comfortable clothing for activity
  • comfortable soft-soled shoes that won't damage the floor
  • drink
  • towel

Seated Exercise is included in the GO Gateshead membership. You can also come and try it out on a pay-as-you-go basis.
